I had the incredible opportunity to complete a year-long preceptorship in an office setting as a Nurse Practitioner student. This experience was truly transformative and instrumental in preparing me for clinical practice.
Under the guidance of my preceptor, Diana, I gained valuable hands-on experience in providing safe, patient-centered care. Throughout the year, I deepened my understanding of pharmacology, practiced applying cognitive behavioral therapy techniques, and learned how to approach patients with empathy and professionalism.
Diana is not only an exceptional clinician but also a remarkable mentor. Her compassion, clinical knowledge, and patient advocacy serve as a model for the kind of provider I aspire to be. She consistently encouraged my growth, offered constructive feedback, and created a supportive learning environment where I felt confident to ask questions and take initiative. More than just a preceptor, she became a mentor and a friend—someone I truly admire and respect.
This preceptorship has not only solidified my clinical skills but also reaffirmed my passion for providing holistic, evidence-based care. I am deeply grateful for this experience and for Diana's dedication to teaching and mentorship.
