Izabella Bastos has a passion for people and a growing love for medicine, I serve as a Clinical Assistant at our psychiatry practice, where I support both patients and providers through a wide range of responsibilities. My primary focus is on managing clinical documentation, but I also assist patients with appointment scheduling, medication issues, pharmacy coordination, and insurance-related matters.
Before joining the medical field, I worked as an office manager in the kitchen and bath manufacturing industry, where I honed my skills in billing, purchasing, inventory management, and leading a team. Though my career began in a completely different space, I’ve found deep fulfillment in mental health care — so much so, that I’m planning to return to school to become a psychiatric nurse practitioner.
Originally from Brazil and moving to the U.S. at three years old, I grew up bilingual and bicultural. I’m fluent in both English and Portuguese, which helps me connect with a wider range of patients to ensure they feel comfortable and understood throughout their care.
I’ve been with the practice for two years now — and in that time, I also became a mom (twice!). As both a parent and someone who has experienced my own personal mental health challenges, I understand how crucial it is to receive care that’s empathetic, personalized, and free of judgment. With warmth and compassion, I want our patients to know I’m always willing to go that little extra mile for them. I want every person we care for to feel heard, supported, and confident that they’re in good hands.
